The tops of my washer and dryer take a lot of abuse from laundry baskets and heavy detergent bottles. I noticed one day that the paint had been scraped off the top of my dryer. Sad!
To prevent further chipping and add a little flair, I decided to cover the tops of my washer and dryer with some pretty adhesive laminate shelf liner! I LOVE the pattern! (The color is actually a light gray, but appears a lot darker in photos.)
Application is pretty straightforward!
- Clean the surface.
- Measure the space and mark where you need to trim the paper.
- Starting with one corner, carefully peel the paper backing from the adhesive laminate, smoothing it onto the surface as you pull it off.
Voila! You’re done!
Should I cover the front panels, too? Or would that be too much?
I’m considering using this contact paper to cover a piece of furniture in my office. Or using it for bookshelf backing! Or making cute labels! So many options!
